Sometimes just having a walk to your local park, letting the kids burn off some steam and sitting on the grass with a picnic is the best thing you can do. Open green spaces are wonderful to relax in. Some places have miniature trains that take you on a ride through the park, others have football goals, pitch and put, tennis courts.
